A hand woven wool Indian rug depicting Adam, Eve and a serpent entwined in fruit tree. Early 20th century. Either Mexico or South American origin. One side with sun bleaching but the other side all natural and in very good condition. Measures 23" x 57". Provenance: From the Thomas & Gail Rockwell collection, LaGrangeville NY. Tom is the son of the renowned American artist, Norman Rockwell and the author or many children's books. His late wife Gail, was an artist-illustrator and the daughter of Arthur E. Sudler and Janet Whitson Sudler, both early 20th century artists - she illustrated several of her husband's children's books.
