Description
German. 1940s. Tinplate. Toys are marked "U.S.-Zone Germany". Post-war German manufacturers were banned from exporting goods. Americans occupying the territories permitted the sale and export of toys so long as they were marked "Made in U.S. Zone Germany". This marking was used from the mid to late 1940s. Marked on box, front bumpers, and undersides of cars. Marked, "Made in U.S.-Zone Germany", on undersides. 2" x 5.75" x 1.75". The Howie Meyer Legacy Collection.
Condition
Cars are in excellent condition with little use apparent. All have minor scuffs to underside. One original box is in great condition. Tested and working.
