Walnut and Pine Apothecary Cabinet, late 19th century. Rectangular walnut top butted and nailed to stained pine sides fitted with brass handles, the back closed with three vertical rabbeted boards, containing three tiers of three drawers over two tiers of split drawers divided by walnut-veneered pine shelves dado-joined to case and box-joined to vertical stretchers, all thirteen dovetailed pine drawers with solid walnut fronts friction-fitted with pressed glass knobs and gilded eglomise plaques applied to top with abbreviated Latin inscriptions: 'GUM: VARIAE:', 'PULE CII. H:', 'TOILET: VAR.', 'TERR: FULL:', 'LINI. S:', 'PUMIC: LAP:', 'CACHET: VAR:', 'OL: THEOBR:', 'SHELLAC.', 'LINTEUM. IN CH', 'SYRINGE: GL:', 'PAPIER.COR:', and 'SACHET.
