Five Lacy Pressed Glass Plates, America, mid-19th century. 1. Large opalescent glass plate impressed with Roman Rosette or Diamond Rosette pattern with eleven alternating patterned and plain bull's eyes, Boston & Sandwich Glass Company, Massachusetts, diam. 9 1/4, ht. 1 1/8 in. 2. Opalescent glass plate pressed in three-part mold with fine rope-twist rim and foot, the marly with repeating basket and fronds motif, and the well with concentric circles centering a rose device, Boston & Sandwich Glass Company, diam. 6 1/8, ht. 3/4 in. 4. Amethyst glass press-molded with variant on the Roman Rosette or Diamond Rosette pattern, additional star devices appearing in each of the eleven diamonds surrounding the edge, probably Massachusetts, diam. 6 3/8, ht. 1 1/4 in. 5. Colorless lead glass plate with twelve scalloped lobes on edge, surrounding band of alternating bull's eyes and shells, a wreath on the cove, and a band of small alternating pansies and fleur-de-lys surrounding a central rosette composed of bead stringing, bull's eyes and fleur-de-lys, midwestern United States, diam. 6 1/4, ht. 7/8 in. 6. Pressed soda lime glass dish with sixteen lobes around edge, continuing into feather and diamond pattern on stippled ground of marly, the footed center decorated with superimposed Roman rosette on an eight-pointed diamond-textured star, diam. 8, ht. 1 3/8 in.
