DESCRIPTION: Two antique Betjemann's patented self-closing Gothic Revival bookends, each carved from wood and fitted on bookends proper with gilt bronze framed pietra dura flowers. Bronze components are pierced with trefoils/quatrefoils and one set has handles for easier adjustment. Piece without handles is marked "Betjemann's" on plaques on either side.
