Description: Five manuscript documents, in ink, various sizes and types of paper. In 20th century cloth binding measuring 32.5x22.8 cm (12¾x9").Documents relating to the arrangement for and sale of slaves at auction, including the deposits made, the rules and regulations for conducting the auction, etc. There are four, or possibly five, slaves to be auctioned (it is not clear), named Pedro, Luane, Manuel, Andres, and perhaps Decos.The Conditions and Act start thusly, in rough translation:
Primera: the Auction will be verified in a Biennial which will start beginning on the day the Auction is put into the hands of the Auctioneer
Segunda: No propositions of any kind will be allowed...
Tercera: the Auctioneer will be obligated to abide by, strictly, that which the Rules provide him...dates and times of part of the Act are stated...In the slave journal must be registered, the name of the slave, the slave owner must be listed, the judge presiding and the date of the auction...
There are seven acts listed, but it looks like the last Act trails off and there were possibly more
The auction was held by the "Royal Economic Society of friends of this country."

Some foxing and wear to the documents, one is folding and partially split along the fold, very good.
