Roman, Imperial period, Eastern Empire, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A dazzling glass bottle adorned with marbled and marvered designs. Though originally formed from translucent, amber-colored glass, the vessel's surface is now enveloped in centuries of weathering film and lustrous iridescence, making it not only appear opaque but also shimming with silver and rainbow hues. A true testament to all the opulence and beauty of Ancient Rome! Size: 1.9" Diameter x 2.8" H (4.8 cm x 7.1 cm)

Provenance: private Wailea, Hawaii, USA collection, acquired via descent from father, who collected prior to 2000
