Description
For your consideration are Four (4) British marked Sterling Spoons from various makers circa 1748-1864. The first three spoons in this collection were made in Edinburgh in 1748, featuring the Scottish Thistle mark and the letter "T" in script signifying the date, as well as a "bird" stamp. Stamped 925/1000 and "STERLING" Fourth spoon, circa 1864, features the Edinburgh Castle mark and the letter "H" signifying the date. The spoons show a warm patina from their antique age, the three older spoons have a "hammered" texture design no signs of obvious damage is present. The 1748 spoons measure 7.5"L each; the 1864 spoon is 8.25"L. Collective weight is 113 grams.
