He served in the military during the Korean conflict, After military service he was employed By a major communication company where he spent times in the Asian countries His interest of the fine artwork on porcelains created his desire to collect various items over his career.

Set of 2 Chinese Qing Dynasty Wucai Porcelains Plate and Vase. Potted in celestial shape vase, thick and tall, globular lower body, tapered gracefully toward straight tall cylindrical neck. And another potted in a plate, has a broad wide central interior, rounded mouth lip, thick and large, raised on correspondence footed ring base slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in white base color which contrast against famille rose design color, depicted of flying cranes through flowers bloom trees and celebrating offering worship festival for the God. The colors are harmonious, elegant and exquisite, the composition is sophisticated, simply a feast for the eye.One of The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, Made in The Years of Kangxi Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
