PROVENANCE:

William Worthing March (1940 - 2023) was the proud owner of a kennel club in Florida where he raised racing greyhounds in his early career. Later in life he became a jeweler and opened his own jewelry store. It was through this business that he was able to purchase from estates a collection of fine porcelains that have been consigned to us to sell at auction. During his career he had the opportunity to travel to many foreign countries also adding to his collection.

Pair of Qing Dynasty Famille Rose Porcelain Wall Hanging Bottles. Potted in water pot, bell shaped body, deep curvature, of a deep vessel, short neck with wide open lip and It is can hanging by a tiny hook on the back side. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in white base color which contrast against famille rose design color, depicted of abundant flowers blooms interspersed foliage and Chinese calligraphy lettering inscriptions poems, followed with artist's signature and iron-red seals on the left side. The colors are harmonious, elegant and exquisite, the composition is sophisticated, simply a feast for the eye.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed red script characters reign mark. Made in The Years of Qianlong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
