Newton, Harold (1934-1994) Florida Highwaymen Painting. Oil on Transitional Masonite - signed lower left. A subtle but refined inlet scene. A close up view of the brush strokesin the sky and clouds indicate the movement of the wind. These deeply incised brush strokes are accomplished only when the oil holds its thick original body. Palette knife work enhances the rich vegetation growingalong the river. Board measures 24x36 framed to overall size of 26x38.
