Item Details

Description

A Pennsylvania Chippendale Style Cherry Tall Case Clock, Louis A. Irion III, Paoli. The brass arched dial inscribed 'Louis A. Irion III / Paoli, Penna.' to the lunette, having Roman hours and Arabic minutes, with subsidiary seconds dial, the twin train movement striking on a bell. The good with swans neck broken arch ending in carved rosette terminals, fluted hood columns and tombstone glass to either side, the well proportioned trunk with shaped door, flanked by fluted quarter columns, above an ogee molded waist, raised on a conforming box base with raised panel, ending with ogee bracket feet.

Dimensions: Height 91 3/4in; width 20 1/4in; depth 11 3/4in.

Provenance: Property from a Local Pennsylvania Collection.

Condition

Structurally sound. the case is in very good condition overall; typical marks, wear, nicks, abrasions and surface scratches. With two weights, pendulum and winding crank. We cannot guarantee the completeness and functionality of the clock's movement.
