This painting appeared on pp. 84-85 of the January 1961 issue of Playboy magazine as the main illustration to the feature "Man At His Leisure: Skiing in a Stunning Setting: Neiman Sketches Squaw Valley," with the caption," In the crisp morning air, skiers depart the lodge for the chair lift and a day of schussing on the slopes. The glare of sun-on-snow makes goggles indispensible to these well-equipped sportsmen."
