Shimmering Mongolian Tapestry of a scarce type. Machine woven 50 to 70 years ago is a rare, beautiful, and desirable object. I've only seen two related examples in the past 25 years. One other is currently listed on my website: #7125. When I got this (along with 7125), the image was very dark and complex and did not shine at all. I did what I'd never done before and had it professionally cleaned. I was blown away when I first saw it. You can see the results below. Both tapestries were transformed into bright, vivid images. The material is synthetic. I am guessing they were made 50 to 70 years ago for devotion under Russian rule. It would look fantastic framed. It measures 16.25 inches x 21 inches.
