Original antique advertising poster for Michelin Tyres. Bright and colourful stylish early Belle Epoque image of an elegant lady wearing a dress, hat, necklace and fashionable long gloves with her scarf flowing behind her in the wind, driving an early car next to a shoe repair shop with two men (one a cobbler, the other looks like Old Master Time), looking amazed at her Michelin tyres as she calls out to them, with the text: Rien a faire, Messieurs, c'est une semelle Michelin! / There's nothing to do, gentlemen, this is a Michelin tyre! (translation: semelle = sole or tyre tread) Printed by Verneau, Paris. Very good condition, restored tears and staining, backed on linen. Country of issue: France, designer: Flink, size (cm): 76x55.5, year of printing: 1907.
