Fine 1840s Slave made Edgefield South Carolina Landrum Two Gallon Jug. Classic form from the 1840s Landrum shop, possibly BF Landrum shop. Classic oval form and rich bold runs in the alkaline glaze. Tooled double collar mouth and graceful handle. Condition, has a neck restoration that is done to outstanding standards. The tooled double collar is original. The handle is original and no damage and for some reason has hot glue that was applied around lower base. No handle damage or repair. Jug body is outstanding with no chips or cracks or repairs. Fresh example standing 13 1/2" Tall
