Description
17th Century Pieta Mold Church Cookie or Gingerbread - Christ on the Cross. In the old world during the 17th Century Church's would use artistic molds to bake communion and other religious meaningful cookies, clays and gingerbread for Church Holidays. This is a cookie or clay that was made long ago with one of those molds. An old example of Christian symbolic baking. This piece measures 4 1/8" tall. Appears fragile but is still intact with a crack up on the hand which may be being held in place by the paper stuck to the back of it.
