Description
CONTINENTAL CERAMIC MUSICIANS FIGURAL HUMIDORS, LOT OF THREE, each sitting on a molded stump base, comprising one depicting a man playing the guitar having top with sponge holder, one featuring a young man holding a clarinet with match holder on side of base, and one depicting a long-haired romantic figure holding a violin. Marks to underside include impressed "BB", "JM", "WJ", "Czechoslovakia", and various numerals. Bernard Bloch, Bohemia; Johann Maresch, Austria or Czechoslovakia. Fourth quarter 19th/first quarter 20th century. 11 1/2" HOA.

Condition
Clarinetist undamaged but having scattered glaze wear; violinist having a flake to interior flange on top and some roughness to edge of violin; guitarist having some imperfections including head reattached, restoration to area around left knee/leg with minor flake/loss to underside of knee, guitar headstock reattached, top interior flange with glued restoration.
