Circa 1870, likely Centennial Era, Baltimore, Maryland. The desk having been brilliantly crafted with fine reverse painted glass panels at top center and in upper case doors. Center opens to reveal interior inlaid ballroom with mirrored sides leading to secret compartments on each side. Above center panel having a fold out writing or work surface over single long drawer with slide out supports at left and right all resting on tapered and banded legs topped with diamond inlay. Mahogany secondary wood in the drawers along with some pine as well. H51" W32 5/8" D20 1/8"
