Large Chinese Canton enameled alms bowl,date to 18/19th C. this elegant rounded side compressed bowl with an incurved rim and tapering to a short gilt rim,all above a band of lotus petal lappets,painted with scrolling lotus and 8 Buddhist treasure around the body over light blue enamel ground, a pair of bronze cast Foo lion handle with arched loop ring at the sides, sitting on a nicely carved wooden base with four legs, the wooden cover incised with scrolling lotus ,on top is a big jade carved finial with petal lappet and two bats around on a peach overall

Condition: the jade finial is in good condition with minor surface wear and inclusion, the bowl is in good condition with a restored area to the bottom, surface wear and enamel flakes, the wood stand has crack to the edge
