1887 ALVIN GRAPE VINE 999 SILVER OVERLAY GLASS PITCHER

A fine and ornate engraved grape vine silver mount cut star pattern bottom crystal pitcher, with a 1887 1902 monogram in the front and Alvin hallmarks on the base read, 'Patented 999/1000 A'. This pitcher has fine lines and proportions and superb engraving work on a thick layer of of 99.9% pure silver. This rare pitcher would make an impressive addition to any fine household or collection.

DETAILS:
- SIZE: 9 1/2 In. Height.
- CONDITION: Internal crack running along the inside of the vase where the top of the handle meets the body of the vase, (possible factory flaw at the time of manufacture), not visible form the outside (see last image), and structurally the handle is strongly affixed to the body of the vase. So despite a factory flaw, its not visible not does it affect the structurally or aesthetic beautify of the piece.

Very good to excellent. No surface damage whatsoever. Displays perfectly. ADDITIONAL NOTES: Housed in its original heavy hand carved gilt wood frame w/th large linen liner. Some wear to the frame (see images).
