Two Pre-Columbian Ceramics with Provenance

to include: Nazca low bowl fashioned as a jaguar's head with allover paint decoration (4-1/2 x 8 in.) (wear and light scuffs; possible repair to underside at mouth), plus: Totonac Culture, Mexico, 500-700 A.D., seated male figure (6-1/4 in. high) (significant repairs, assembled from fragments).
Both pieces ex. Edward L. Shaw, each with a document stating in Portuguese: "This work was exhibited at the Asia-America-Africa exhibition at Galeria Bonino in Rio de Janeiro in December 1971..." Photograph of the pair included. The Nazca piece noted as having catalog number 51 and the Totonac figure being listed as number 90.
