late 19th or early 20th century, the pocket Barometer with a brass case, retail mark of Harrods Ltd, London to dial (2 1/4 in. dia., with case); the opera glasses with a faceted mother of pear exterior and brass hardware, mark of Lemaire, Paris, retail mark of Galt & Bro., Washington, D.C.; each item presented in their original leatherette retail case (3 x 4 1/2 x 2 in.).
