Chinese Qing Dynasty KangXi Blue and White Porcelain Incense Burner. Potted in shallow vessel form, heavy and deep, short neck, thick wide flaring round opening lip, raised with short three elephant legs. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in white and blue color, depicted of many birds flying over flowers blooms and foliage. A characteristic heaped and piled effect, the under glaze greyish-blue concentrates in certain areas, bubbling through the surface of the glaze and turning a deep blue-black. This inadvertently gave texture, energy, and shading to the design.
