A unique and attractive display of four mini albumen print photographs housed in a 6th plate copper frame. Each image measures 0.625" x 0.875" (sight) and is framed in its own mini frame, which is then matted and framed to the overall size of 2.75" x 3.25", n.p., n.d. [ca. 1860s]. The four images are well-known, titled: "Dead Confederate", "Fort Sumter", "Captured Rebel Guns", and "Pontoon Bridge". The frame is backed with newspaper clippings, one headline reading "What soldiers think and?" Light oxidation or patina to the frames. Near fine. The "Confederate Dead" image is desirable in its own right, and even more so in this rare and unusual presentation.

This item comes with a Certificate from John Reznikoff, a premier authenticator for both major 3rd party authentication services, PSA and JSA (James Spence Authentications), as well as numerous auction houses.
