Most likely an early work from the artist's days in Pittsburgh PA in the 1920's. The drawing shows a worker passing under a metal staircase in a room full of machinery. Like the others I'm selling, it is a scene from the American oil industry, possibly PA. Kuhler became an important figure in the railroad industry. He not only cataloged trains in his artwork, but also was the designer behind some of America's most famous locomotives. His record sale at auction for an oil was $9000 hammer at Concept auction in Pittsburg PA in 2022. Works on paper have sold for as high as $1300.
