Vintage Sterling Diamond & Illusion Engagement Ring, Sz. 7, Signed with a Star and F inside. The ring has a raised square center with four small diamonds and a ridged outer frame. Around that is an illusion setting of flat silver accents creating the look of diamonds - there are four diamonds in that halo around the raised center centered on each side. The top of the ring is appx. 10mm by 10mm with the raised area being appx. 5.5mm by 5.5mm. The ring has a milgrain look that adds to the appeal of the ring. The top of the ring sits up appx. 8.5mm on the finger and when looking from the side it is somewhat like an inverted pyramid. The top shoulders curve upward to the frame of the top fo the ring in three strands. The band as it reaches the frame of the top setting is appx. 7.3mm and then tapers down to appx. 4.5mm where they form one band and becomes smooth and tapers to appx. 2mm t the back of the finger. The ring is marked .925 and tests as sterling with a weight of appx 4.58 gr. It is signed with a star image and an F inside. Very good condition. Age is post mid-century, appx. 1980's-1990's.
