Description
Mason M. Patrick (1863-1942) was a U.S. Army General during World War I and a major advocate for air power. In the early stages of WWI, Patrick was appointed to command the combined Air Service of the AEF; this led to him serving as temporary major general in June 1918. This piece is a short letter written on Howes Norris, Jr. letterhead and is dated August 14, 1919. The short letter reads: “May we of the United States always remember the things for which we fought in the Great War just ended, Mason M. Patrick, Major General, U.S. Army.”
