Lake built the Argonaut, the first submarine to operate extensively in the open sea. 8 ½” x 14 ½” legal document, signed twice, State of Connecticut, Bridgeport, August 12, 1920. The document is a bond in connection with Lake’s Argonaut Salvage Corporation and the Boston Sand & Gravel Company, signed by Lake as President and a second time as witness.
