Grand plat en majolique Bianco de Faenza, fin du XVIe siècle/début du XVIIe siècle
A large Bianco di Faenza maiolica charger, late 16th/early 17th century
Painted a compendiario in ochre, blue and yellow with a classical figure of a lady holding a staff seated by a large rock, the rim with a border of scrolling foliage, 36.3cm diam. (flat chips and some glaze flaking to edge of rim, crazing to glaze surface)

Condition
There is crazing overall to the glaze surface on both sides. There is a 12cm haircrack to the rim at 8 o'clock.
There are two adjacent flat chips to the rim at 11.30 o'clock and some flaking of the glaze to the reverse edge.
There is a 15mm flat chip to the reverse edge of the rim at 10.30 o'clock. There are some more scattered glaze flakes around the edge of the rim.
Otherwise generally in good condition.
