A Medieval Seljuk bronze incense burner with openwork decoration on the body and handle. The pear-shaped, upper section of the incense burner adds visual interest to the piece, as do the four bent legs attached in a polygonal cross-section. For similar see: Islamic Metalwork from Afghanistan (9th-13th century), n. 331. This piece is accompanied by a historical report from Alessandro Neri, an international Cultural Heritage expert based in Florence, Italy.

Provenance: Property of a London Islamic art specialist collector; previously in a collection formed since the 1980s. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
