Abby Mosher Needlework Embroidery (Probably New York, 19th century) Sampler wrought by Abby Jane Mosher (1810-1891), probably New York, 1821, signed "Abby Jane Mosher / 11 years / 1821" with memorial verse at center. Silk on linen. Genealogical records confirm that Abby Jane Mosher was born April 29, 1810 in New York City and died May 7, 1891 in New York City. 13 1/2 x 13 1/2 in. (34.3 x 34.3 cm.)
