Pair of Rococo Revival Brass and Cut-Glass Solar Lamps, Cornelius & Co., Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Circa 1849. Each pear-shaped font above the tripartite standard cast with leaves, shells, flowers and foliate scrolls, the shade engraved with an undulating vine, grape clusters and flowerheads, hung with prisms, the oval label in the font marked "CORNELIUS & CO./ PHILAD./ JULY 24TH. 1949./ PATENT/ APRIL 1ST.1843;" now electrified. H: 29 in. (to top of kerosene shade), Diam: 8 in. (shade) Provenance: The Dingman Collection, Hampton, New Hampshire.
