"How To Catch Bass By "All Rivers", Copyright 1902 By William Shakespeare, Jr., Kalamazoo, Michigan, U.S.A.", one of the first printed publications for Shakespeare after the company started producing lures. This 6" x 3 1/2" promotional "Revised" booklet mentions the "Sure-lure", Revolution, Evolution and the Shakespeare-Worden Bucktail Spinner for a successful bass catch, 16 numbered pages comprised of text, a few small fishing related vignettes, and promotions of the "Shakespeare's Catalog" and "The Art of Bait-Casting" on two page bottoms. High quality mottled gray card-stock covers with crisp printed titles, in about average condition, moderate wear and light soiling, a tack hole and water stain to the top right corner. An important early Shakespeare fishing booklet, extremely rare - the only example to be offered at Lang's.
