Condition
There is a restored crack running in to the centre of the dish, starting from around 6 o'clock, which crosses the footrim. The restoration to the upper surface stops at the point in between the 'al' of 'Admiral' and the bottom of the portrait. There is also a shallow area of restoration to the rim located between 1 and 2 o'clock, which goes no lower than the first brown band in the border. Overall there is typical crazing to the glaze and a little stain visible between the border and laurel wreath. Otherwise in good condition, save for some scattered flakes to the glaze of Duncan's ochre jacket, as can be seen in the catalogue photo.
