Description
Engraving by Johannes van Dregt,. The Revolution, allegorical decoration erected at the Koningsplein in Amsterdam during the Alliance celebration on June 19, 1795. Truncated column with oval medallion with Hercules (Batavian bravery and courage) breaking the yoke of aristocracy. Under his foot, he tramples a crown and chain. At the top, Dutch and French flags. Left cartouches with the three inscriptions on the other sides of the column. Part of a series of ten plates. Size: 30 cm x 25 cm.

Very good condition, small tears, cut.
