Alwin Boerst (1910 - 1944) joined the Wehrmacht in 1934, was promoted to Leutnant in 1938, with combat flights in Poland, France, the Balkans, Crete and Russia. Awarded the Knight's Cross on 5 October 1941 after 300 combat flights. Oak Leaves on 28 November 1942 and promotion to Hauptmann. His 1000th combat flight on 29 January 1944. Swords awarded posthumously on 6 April 1944.Condition: II
