Description
A Saxon vermeil mounted serpentine tankard, 18th centurySerpentine. The flaring foot mounted in gilt silver. Pear-shaped body. Domed hinged lid with bagpiper finial. Shell thumbpiece also made of silver. S-shaped handle. Underside and edge of the lid with small loss. One small repair near the thumbpiece. Dimensions 23 x 15 x 11 cm.Condition: II - III
