Credits: Cover: Bill Everett. Stories and art: Stan Lee, Russ Heath, Joe Maneely, Fred Kita, Bill Everett. GPAnalysis: A 2.5 sold for $149 in 8/23.
#8: VG+ (4.5). Mild spine stress, a few nicks, small chip to bottom spine, small color loss to top right corner of front cover, no bottom staple or staple holes (bindery error?), pencilled distributor's mark ("8 21") ro 2nd "E" in "MENACE". Cream pages, tan edges. Credits: Cover: Carl Burgos. Stories and art: Stan Lee, Joe Maneely, John Romita, Russ Heath; Al Eadeh. GPAnalysis: No reported sales in this grade. A 4.0 sold for $114 in 11/12; a 5.0 sold for $300 in 8/22.EC Wannabe: Menace was the jewel in the crown of Atlas's hydra-headed horror lineup, featuring some of the publisher's spookiest covers and stories, including Bill Everett's "Zombie!" in the fifth issue (which spawned a short-lived but fondly-remembered black and white Marvel horror mag in the early 1970s).
