2-pc second day wedding dress of fine fawn silk repp w/ off the SH bateau neckline, short sleeve w/ self fringed ruching & corded silk lace, trained skirt w/ tiered self ruffles, lined w/ buckram & glazed cotton, c. 1870, B 36”, L 16”, skirt W 28”, L 40”, (discoloration, 7” streak stain lap, 3” stain CB skirt, shattering SH, seat & hem, spot stains up to 0.75”, 0.5” seam opening CB bodice, sleeve trim damaged) fair; 1 cream silk satin dinner dress w/ ruched front, blonde mantilla lace applique to yoke, back of bodice & as cuffs & edge of back skirt tiers, c. 1884, B 32”, W 24”, L 51”, (missing all closures, 2” seam opening & uneven alteration CB collar, 0.5” opening rt underarm, light scuffs/small stains/wear spots, lace trim damaged) very good. Deaccessioned by the Valentine Museum.
