Nat Pendleton autographed handwritten letter (ALS) from 1933. The letter mentions his movies “Penthouse” and “Transcontinental Bus.”
Very good condition. Accompanied by original mailing envelope and a modern printed glossy 4 x 6" photograph.
Nathaniel Greene Pendleton (August 9, 1895 – October 12, 1967) was an American Olympic wrestler, film actor, and stage performer. His younger brother, Edmund J. Pendleton (1899-1987), was a well-known music composer and choir master and organist for the American Church in Paris.
He won a silver medal in wrestling at the 1920 Olympics in Antwerp, Belgium. He became an actor and appeared in almost 100 movies including: ‘Northwest Passage’, ‘Death Valley’, ‘The Thin Man’ ‘Dr. Kildare’ and the Marx Brother’s ‘Horsefeathers’ and ‘At the Circus’ (as weightlifter Goliath).
