A Japanese silk and metallic thread commemorative embroidery, early 20th century, inscribed 'In Memory of my crusie in Phillipine Islands', centering a photo of the sailor headed by an embroidered figure of an eagle and flanked by ten all country flags, including Hawaii and Japan flags, mounted in an oval faux wood painted frame headed by a ribbon tied rose spray 24.5" x 19". Provenance: Ken Brown, Frank's Fisherman, San Francisco.
