Description
4.875 x 1.75" double bordered captain of infantry straps. Straps feature bullion borders and rank devices. Borders made using pattern of 4 dull and 3 bright alternating gold strands. Blue velvet centers with some loss of material, and fold over cloth backs with open centers and visible stitching. When originally obtained, these straps were accompanied by a post war postal cover postmarked from New Rutland, Illinois. The consignor relates that these straps are attributed as having been worn by William G. McDonald, Captain Co. C, 86th Illinois Infantry. In-house shipping is available. Pickup is Monday, April 29th from 11 am to 3 pm in Carroll, Ohio 43112 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. Once packed up we will send you an invoice for shipping & handling.
