Description
Flapper Girl on Chair w/ Wine Champagne Glass Bronze Figure
Any fan of the Roaring 20's, Jazz and F. Scott Fitzgerald will adore this stunning Flapper. They were considered to be the "New Breed" of young women. The troublesome youth flaunted "unacceptable behavior". Unacceptable being smoking, drinking, sex and...(gasp) driving. The end of World War I gave birth to these party loving, swing dancing, free spirits. You couldn't bring her home to mom but you can bring her home with this statue. Perched on a black patina stool, she boldly poses in a loose reddish patina short dress, that falls off her curves carelessly. A gold beaded belt hangs off her waist and a bow ties in the back. She rests a hand on her pulled in knee, while her other leg swings down, exposing her thick thighs, which are in a brown patina. She is no waif, she is very voluptuous. She has black bobbed hair that curls from beneath her fitted cloche hat. She is comfortable in her setting, opting to kick off her heels and go barefoot. Relaxed and worry free she holds a champagne glass up. 100% bronze handmade and fully detailed, this sculpture was cast using the "Lost Wax Method" and signed by the artist J.E. Mir.
DImensions: 21.5" x 6.5"
Weight: 12 lbs
