Description
William T. Richards, American, 1833-1905. A late 19th century gouache on paper landscape, titled "The White Mountains". Depicts a small lake at the base of the New Hampshire mountain range surrounded by vast forest. Signed "Wm T Richards" and dated "1872" lower right, titled on foil label from "Vose Galleries of Boston" verso. Slight toning, minor foxing, not examined out of frame. Image 13 1/2 x 8 1/4" high, in a Gilded wood frame with some wear and two small holes at front, 21 x 16 1/4" high overall. ESTIMATE $1,000-1,500
