Description
An original typed document, 3pp. legal folio, ‘In the Field’, Oct. 12, 1943, in which Karl Volkl, platoon leader of Panzer-Regiment 33, is nominated for the Knight’s Cross with Oak Leaves for his numerous achievements, detailed carefully in the document. Signed at conclusion twice by ERWIN JOLLASSE (1892-1987) Wehrmacht general of the 9th Panzer Division and recipient of the Knight’s Cross. Additionally signed by EBERHARD LEMOR (?-?) Wehrmacht major who fought in the Ardennes Offensive and Battle of the Bulge as leader of Sturmpanzer-Abteilung 217. With one other signature, not identified by us. Fascinating reading! File holes at left margin, otherwise very good.
