Photo album, 11 x 8 in., assembled by a Japanese soldier in 1933 and containing 105 b/w photos. Images include: explosions landmine explosions, soldiers during training and inspection, shrines, bridge construction, students working at a drill and engineering school, physical training, group photos, closeups of fellow soldiers, and more. The last photo is quite a dramatic image, depicting four soldiers on horseback with one holding a flag, underneath a stormy sky. Nearly all photos bear a brief descriptive line. Some staining and tearing to the cloth covers, else very good.
