Description
Archive of Abraham Bell and Co. Bell was a merchant and ship-builder who came to New York in 1797, from Northern Ireland. He was located at No. 33 Pine St. before moving in 1835 to Fulton St. (at least one of these items bears the address of No. 33 Pine St.) He was part of a Quaker family, and he helped transport thousands of immigrants from Ireland. This archive dates mostly from the 1830s, and includes mainly receipts (including some interesting bill-heads.) Approximately 103 items.
