Unmarked, lacquered brass, lead-filled circular base, conical pillar with compass joint at the top, short support carrying the tubular limb, single mirror attached to the limb, fixed oval stage, underside with spring clip for the microscope slides, insertion facility for the incident light magnifier attached to the stage, screw fine adjustment with rack-and-pinion drive to the body tube, 3 objectives, 1 eyepiece, height 10 1/5 in., in matching walnut case. - A very fine early student model.
