8x10 B&W glossy finish vintage photograph signed "Calvin Plimpton 1/19/72" in black ink. A paper clip crease in the upper left portion with minor scattered creasing, otherwise, in good condition. (1918-2007) Calvin Plimpton was an American physician and educator, who served as president of Amherst College and American University of Beirut. He is known for appointing a commission in 1970 whose findings resulted in the admission of women to Amherst in 1975.This lot came from the Jim Wiggins collection we purchased in July 2022.
